Wanted “Movie”

Just came back from seeing “Wanted.” An action flick with Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, some crappy rapper named “Common.” The movie was ok for an action flick. If you are going to go see a movie and Wall-E is sold out, this is a good backup movie. Some of the effects were quite lame but then again i have more of a discerning eye than most of the public. I also felt that the main character was too young but then again if you had someone older they would not fit the part. The story was a little cliche with “I’m not special,” someone intervines, “oh yes i am.” Also, i dont understand this strange thing in movies were the boy grows up never knowing his father YET has this deep emotional bond which i find completely stupid. If you were told your dad died in glorious battle before you were born i can see maybe having a bond but when you are told “he just left.” I dont see how you can get a positive bond out of that. If anything, he should have been pissed.
You get to see Angelina Jolie’s butt. It was ok. I dont see what people see in her. She has NO curves like a woman’s body is supposed to have. No hips. If you were doing her from behind you would have to double check you were doing a woman and not in prison doing some guy in the ass.
About the effects. To me they were really obvious and it took me out of the movie. But i mention again, i have more a discerning eye than most people. Most action scenes were ok but there a couple that i felt a little embarresed about and had to actually stop looking at the screen.
There is one you should start looking out for; older black males ( like Samuel Jackson ) saying, “Motherfucker.” Overall, i give it a B. B is barely passing in my book. It means i barely had a “good” feeling about the movie. Go see it if the line for Wall-E is too long.
